2. Give your self extra time to travel.
3. Expect delays in transit, taxi and other public transportation services
4. Bring a charged and working cell phone with you.
5. Tell you someone you trust where you are going and what time you expect to return
6. Have a back up plan should your first choice of transportation fail to arrive at your location.
7. If you can bring an extra bus ticket, and money to travel. (for example if the bus doesn't show up at least you have some money to take a taxi or another form of transportation to your destination).
8. Bring a snack and a non alcoholic drink with you- so in case you get hungry or thirsty while traveling you have something to eat and drink.
9. Bring something that can keep you calm and entertained while your traveling (For example: I Pod, book, magazine, newspaper, MP3 player, e-reader or tablet).
